Energy Profile

Tell Chronos when your energy peaks and troughs so the AI schedules cognitively demanding tasks at your best times.

What is an Energy Profile?

Your Energy Profile maps your typical energy levels across the day — high focus periods, low-energy slumps, and recovery windows. Chronos uses this map to schedule your most demanding tasks when you're naturally at your sharpest, and lighter work during dips.

Setting Your Energy Levels

  1. Go to Settings › Energy Profile

Navigate to Settings from your profile menu, then select Energy Profile.

  2. Set energy levels for time blocks

For each time block across the day, select your typical energy level:

    • High — peak focus, best for deep work and complex problem-solving
    • Medium — steady attention, good for meetings, emails, and routine tasks
    • Low — reduced capacity, suited to admin, filing, or breaks
  3. Save your profile

Click Save. The AI scheduler immediately uses your profile for future task scheduling.

How the AI Uses Your Energy Profile

When scheduling tasks, Chronos matches task priority and cognitive load to your energy windows. High-priority or complex tasks are placed in your High energy blocks. Administrative or low-stakes tasks fill your Low energy periods.

Daily mood and energy check-ins on the Wellness Dashboard can temporarily adjust the schedule when today's energy differs from your usual profile — for example, if you're feeling unusually low, Chronos will avoid scheduling demanding work in the morning.

Tip: Most people have their highest energy in the morning (roughly 9–11 am) and a secondary peak in mid-afternoon (3–5 pm), with a post-lunch dip around 1–2 pm. Start with this pattern and adjust after a week of observation.
