Using the Live Timer

Start a timer when you begin working on a task. The elapsed time is tracked automatically until you stop it.

Starting a Timer

From a Task Card

Hover over any task in your task list and click the play button that appears.

From the Task Editor

Open any task and scroll to the Time Tracked section. Click the green play button to start.

Stopping a Timer

Click the red pause button on the task card or in the task editor. The time entry will be saved automatically with the duration calculated.

Note: Only one timer can be active at a time. Starting a timer on a new task will prompt you to stop the current one first.

Manual Time Entries

Forgot to start the timer? No problem. Add a manual time entry after the fact.

Adding a Manual Entry

  1. Open the task and go to the Time Tracked section
  2. Click "Manual"
  3. Enter the duration in minutes
  4. Optionally add notes about what you worked on
  5. Click "Add Entry"

Per-Task Summary

Each task shows a total time tracked in the Time Tracked section. Individual entries are listed with their date, duration, and notes. You can delete any entry if it was recorded in error.

Estimated vs Actual

Compare the task's estimated duration (set when you create the task) with the actual time tracked. This helps you calibrate future estimates and understand where your time really goes.
