App Integrations

Connect Chronos with Slack, GitHub, and Zoom to bring your work tools together.

App integrations are available on all plans, including Solo. Go to Settings › Integrations to connect and manage them.

Slack

Receive Chronos notifications directly in Slack so you can stay on top of task reminders and team updates without leaving your messaging app.

How to connect

  1. Go to Settings › Integrations
  2. Click Connect Slack
  3. Authorise the Chronos app in your Slack workspace — you'll be asked to allow the app to post messages
  4. Choose the default channel where notifications should be delivered
  5. Save and test the connection

What syncs

  • Task reminders and overdue alerts sent to your Slack channel
  • Team notifications (task assignments, mentions) on Teams plan
  • Daily Brief summary delivered to Slack at your configured time

What doesn't sync

  • Slack messages are not imported into Chronos — it's one-way (Chronos to Slack)
  • Slash commands and two-way task creation are not currently supported

Troubleshooting:If notifications stop arriving, check that the Chronos app hasn't been removed from the Slack channel. Re-invite it with /invite @Chronos in the channel.

GitHub

Connect a GitHub Project v2 to a Chronos project for full bidirectional sync — changes flow both ways automatically, so your board and your task list are always in agreement.

How to connect

  1. Go to Settings › Integrations and click Connect GitHub
  2. Authorise the Chronos GitHub App — you can scope access to specific repositories or your whole account
  3. Click Import next to a GitHub Project v2 to create a new Chronos project, or open an existing Chronos project and choose Connect to GitHub Project… from the project menu
  4. Select a default repository for new issues created in Chronos
  5. Chronos maps GitHub Status options to project stages automatically

What syncs

  • Issue title, description, and open/closed state — both ways
  • GitHub Project Status field ↔ Chronos project stage
  • Issue labels ↔ Chronos task priority
  • Sub-issues ↔ Chronos subtasks (one level deep)
  • New tasks created in Chronos open a GitHub issue automatically
  • Archiving a task in Chronos archives the linked GitHub Project item

What doesn't sync

  • Pull requests — only issues are synced
  • GitHub Project iteration, number, date, and custom text fields
  • Sub-issues deeper than one level

Troubleshooting: If sync stops working, open the Chronos project, click the three-dot menu, and check for a sync-error badge. Use the Retry button to requeue failed items. If the badge persists, verify the Chronos GitHub App is still installed — check GitHub › Settings › Applications.

Zoom

Connect Zoom to automatically add meeting links to events and tasks, so attendees always have the join link without manual copying.

How to connect

  1. Go to Settings › Integrations
  2. Click Connect Zoom
  3. Sign in with your Zoom account and authorise the app
  4. Once connected, the option to Add Zoom Meeting appears when creating or editing events

What syncs

  • Clicking "Add Zoom Meeting" on an event generates a unique Zoom link and adds it to the event description
  • The link syncs to connected calendars (Google, Outlook) so invitees see it automatically
  • Booking links automatically include a Zoom meeting when Zoom is connected

What doesn't sync

  • Zoom meeting recordings and transcripts are not imported into Chronos
  • Zoom meeting attendance data is not tracked

Troubleshooting:If "Add Zoom Meeting" is greyed out, your Zoom token may have expired. Disconnect and reconnect Zoom in Settings › Integrations to refresh the connection.

Tip:All app integrations use OAuth — Chronos never stores your passwords. If you revoke access in the third-party app's settings, you'll need to reconnect from Settings › Integrations.
