Projects

Group related tasks under a shared project to track progress, view timelines, and keep complex work organised.

What Are Projects?

This lets you group related tasks under a single initiative — such as a client campaign, product launch, or quarterly goal. Once tasks are inside, you can view them as a list, a Kanban board, or a Gantt timeline, and track overall completion at a glance.

Creating a Project

  1. Open the Projects section

Select Projects from the sidebar to see everything you've already created.

  2. Click New Project

Enter a name and optional description. Choose a colour to make it easy to spot in the task list and calendar.

  3. Set a due date (optional)

Adding a due date gives the AI scheduler context for prioritising the tasks inside.

  4. Save it

It appears in your sidebar, ready for tasks.

Assigning Tasks to a Project

When creating a task

Open the task creation form and select one from the Project dropdown. It'll appear there right away.

On an existing task

Click any task to open its detail panel, then change the Project field. You can move tasks between them, or take a task out entirely, at any time.

Project Views & Analytics

Inside, you can switch between views to see work in the format that suits you:

  • List view — all tasks in one column, sorted by due date or priority. Ideal for review and bulk editing.
  • Board view — Kanban columns (To Do, In Progress, Done). Drag tasks between columns to update their status.
  • Timeline (Gantt) — see tasks on a timeline with start and due dates. Useful for spotting scheduling conflicts and dependencies. See Gantt & Timelines for full details.
  • Progress indicator — a completion percentage shown at the top of every project, calculated from the number of completed vs total tasks.
Tip:Keep project names short and specific — “Q2 Website Redesign” is clearer than “Website Work”. If you regularly start the same type of work, use Templates to pre-fill tasks and save time.
