Siri

Check your agenda, add tasks and meetings, update lists and log habits on iPhone without opening Chronos.

How it works

  • Start with “Hey Siri”, then say one of the phrases below. Every phrase names the app: “Chronos” or “Chronos Calendar” both work.
  • Say the phrase as written. Once Siri asks its question, answer in your own words.
  • If Chronos needs more detail it asks, and Siri listens for your answer, so a request can be a short back-and-forth.
  • It works with the app closed and your iPhone locked. Siri shortcuts are available in the Chronos iPhone app only.
Before you start: sign in to the Chronos app once. Logging habits works on every plan; everything else uses the Chronos Agent, which is included with Pro and Teams.

What you can say

Talk to Chronos

  • “Hey Siri, talk to Chronos” — Siri asks “What do you need?”
  • “Hey Siri, ask Chronos”
  • “Hey Siri, check with Chronos”

Ask for anything in your own words: add or move tasks and events, find time, summarise your week or a project, start a list, add to your journal, tick something off and more. Use it whenever the other phrases don't fit.

Your agenda

  • “Hey Siri, what's on my agenda in Chronos today”
  • “Hey Siri, what's on my agenda in Chronos tomorrow”
  • “Hey Siri, what's on my agenda in Chronos this week”
  • “Hey Siri, what's next in Chronos”

Saying “What's on my agenda in Chronos” without a day tells you what's next.

Add a meeting

  • “Hey Siri, add a meeting in Chronos at 4pm” — Siri asks “What's the purpose of this meeting?”
  • “Hey Siri, add a meeting in Chronos” — Siri asks “When is it and what's it about?”
  • “Hey Siri, add an appointment in Chronos”
  • “Hey Siri, book a meeting in Chronos”

A time in the phrase books the meeting for today. Any hour or half hour from 6am to 9pm works (“6:30am”, “1pm”, “8:30pm”). For another day, or a time like 4:15, leave the time out and tell Chronos when it is.

Add a task

  • “Hey Siri, add a task in Chronos” — Siri asks “What do you need to do?”
  • “Hey Siri, add a to-do in Chronos”

Chronos schedules the task straight away and tells you when it's on.

Lists

  • “Hey Siri, create a shopping list in Chronos” — Siri asks “What would you like to add?”
  • “Hey Siri, add to my shopping list in Chronos”
  • “Hey Siri, create a list in Chronos” — Siri asks “What's the list called, and what should go on it?”

Shopping, grocery, packing and to-do lists each have their own “Create a … list” and “Add to my … list” phrases. Name several items in one go. For any other list, say “Create a list in Chronos”.

Mark a task done

  • “Hey Siri, mark my next task done in Chronos”
  • “Hey Siri, I finished my task in Chronos”
  • “Hey Siri, mark a task done in Chronos”

Chronos names your current or next task and waits for you to say yes before ticking it off.

Find time or reschedule

  • “Hey Siri, find time for a call in Chronos” — Siri asks “How long, and by when?”
  • “Hey Siri, find time for a meeting in Chronos” — Siri asks “How long, and by when?”
  • “Hey Siri, check if I'm free in Chronos” — Siri asks “When?”
  • “Hey Siri, push my next task to tomorrow in Chronos”
  • “Hey Siri, reschedule something in Chronos” — Siri asks “What needs moving, and to when?”
  • “Hey Siri, find time in Chronos” — Siri asks “What needs moving, and to when?”

Plan and review

  • “Hey Siri, plan my day in Chronos”
  • “Hey Siri, summarise my week in Chronos”
  • “Hey Siri, give me my brief in Chronos”

Each also works with “with Chronos”. Your brief covers what matters today and anything at risk.

Log a habit

  • “Hey Siri, log sleep eight hours in Chronos”
  • “Hey Siri, log a habit in Chronos” — Siri asks “Which habit?”

Say “Log”, then the habit's name. It doesn't have to be exact: “sleep eight hours” finds a habit called “Sleep 8hrs” (iOS 17 or later). With only one habit, “Log a habit” logs it without asking. Siri tells you your streak, or that today's target is already met.

Journal and mood

  • “Hey Siri, add a journal entry in Chronos” — Siri asks “How's your day going?”
  • “Hey Siri, journal in Chronos” — Siri asks “How's your day going?”
  • “Hey Siri, log my mood in Chronos” — Siri asks “How are you feeling?”

“Hey Chronos” wake word

Separately from Siri, Pro and Teams members can turn on a “Hey Chronos” wake word in the app under Settings › Voice. Say “Hey Chronos”, then talk to Chronos the same way as “Talk to Chronos” above. Say “never mind” or “that's all” to finish. It's off by default, and your iPhone shows its microphone indicator while it listens.

If Siri can't finish

  • “Open Chronos and sign in first.”

Open the app and sign in once. Siri uses that session from then on.

  • “Talking to Chronos needs the Pro plan.”

Everything except habit logging uses the Chronos Agent, which comes with Pro and Teams.

  • “Siri is turned off for Chronos.”

Turn it back on in the Chronos app under Settings › Voice.

  • “Chronos is taking longer than usual.”

Siri stops waiting after about 20 seconds. The request may still go through, so check the app.

  • “Chronos is still working on your last request.”

Wait for the previous request to finish, then try again.

  • “I couldn't reach Chronos.”

Check your connection and try again in a moment.

To stop Siri using Chronos, switch off Siri in the app under Settings › Voice.
